I have been photographing weddings professionally since 1991. This was also the year when I started to work for Edward Fox Photography studio in Chicago.  For the last 32 years, I have photographed over 850 weddings of all types.

Throughout all these years,  I have honed my skills by attending workshops by world reknown wedding photographers such as David Ziser, Michele Celentano, Bambi Cantrell, Ken Sklute and Joe Craig. I am constantly looking for new ideas to incorporate into my photography.  This is evidenced in the samples of my work.

 My Approach

The wedding day is one of the most important days in a person’s life.  It is filled with joy, happiness and it is a time when family and friends come together to celebrate the union of the bride and groom.

Because it is such an important and wonderful  occasion, it needs to be documented by a professional photographer who will capture the moments that will last for generations.  My approach to wedding photography is a mix of several styles…traditional/formal, contemporary and candid.

Traditional/formal wedding photography never goes out of style.  Formal poses will always be part of a wedding. It is an important style of photography that cannot be omitted from a wedding album.

Contemporary wedding  photography provides a modern approach with modern poses. This style shows the bride and groom in natural surroundings, either indoors or outdoors.

Candid wedding photography allows the photographer to capture the event as it happens, without posing.  Peoples’ expressions, laughter, smiles, and dance moves are documented.

The Wedding Day

The “getting ready” photographs at the house or hotel are completely candid. I like to capture the bride, the bridal party and the family as they are getting ready for the big day.

Church ceremony photographs are very important, if not the most important images of the entire wedding.  I am very respectful of the church policies and rules and, therefore, I will only do what I am allowed to do in accordance with church rules.

During the wedding reception, I am unobtrusive and out of the way so that the bride and groom can have fun with each other, their families and their friends. Most of the formal “must take” photographs are done at the beginning of the reception, time permitting.

Throughout the entire wedding day I am available to photograph groups and any other photos that might be requested.
